Ms. Delsa

The boys started going to a new daycare on October 15. Mike and I chose to change providers since he graduates soon and our previous provider requires pick up BY 5PM which is impossible if you work until 5 as I do and Mike likely will too. The new daycare is very close to my work which is very convenient and the teachers all seemed really nice. The children there were all happy, giving hugs to teachers and even me when I came to visit. We also really liked this place because all the teachers speak Spanish. Since the boys are intensely learning language right now, we thought it would be so beneficial for them to be exposed to both English and Spanish while they are developing those neural pathways. Most of the teachers there are bi-lingual but a couple, including Ms. Delsa, really don't speak English at all. Ms. Delsa happens to be the toddler teacher and we couldn't be happier with her! Today, it was clear that the boys feel the same way. When I went to pick them up, Ms. Delsa was waiting for her ride outside. When I walked in, I could immediately hear Connor and his "I am not happy about something" cry complete with his infamous wookie noise. The owner told me that he can't see Ms. Delsa leave, he just gets so upset. He's obviously very attached to her in only a couple of weeks which just makes me feel so good about them being there all day. Most days, when I pick them up, they are both sitting on Ms. Delsa's lap. Sometimes Cameron will be in a high chair or on another teacher's lap since he's such a friendly little guy but Connor is always on Ms. Delsa's lap. Ms. Delsa usually helps me take the boys out to the car and is so sweet to them. I wish I spoke Spanish to know what she was saying and to let her know how much I appreciate her. She really loves the kids and they love her. You just can't ask for more than that!

UPDATE: Here is a picture of the boys when I came to pick them up on Nov 9. Connor is on Ms. Delsa's lap and Cameron has found another willing lap to hold him.
