13 month update

The boys are officially toddlers. Here's an update on their newest discoveries and tricks.

BOTH BOYS
* Are cuter than ever!
* Are still great eaters. They will eat anything you feed them. If they don't like it, they cry but still open their mouths to accept the food and swallow. It is so funny. We know they really don't like green beans so we don't force the issue.
* They had salmon which they both really enjoyed. It was pretty cute when they tried it. Connor's eyes got big and he started grunting and bouncing in his seat wanting more. Cameron was also pretty animated over it. This works out nicely since we are a "fishy" family.
* Love their Nana! My mom spends some time each Saturday with the boys. When she comes over to get them, both boys get very excited and go to her wanting her to pick them up. It's very sweet.
* Now mind it when the other takes something they were looking at. They will fuss but will not yet attempt to get the object back.
* Now that Dad gives the boys their baths, they have learned to enjoy the shower. They get a regular bath and then a final rinse with the shower head. When Dad says "It's shower time," Cameron looks up to the shower head.

CAMERON
* Prefers walking as his primary means of self transit, however, being carried is still even better.
* Says mama, mommy, dada, bye (along with a hand wave done by opening and closing his fist), and many indecipherable babblings.
* Still only has 8 teeth.
* Really enjoys being read to now. He will pick up a book and bring it over to have it read to him.

CONNOR
* Can definitely walk now although he prefers to be holding onto something to keep his balance. Walking is still more of a novelty for him and if he wants to get from A to B he will drop to his knees and crawl.
* Still only says "ba" singularly and strung together (ba ba, baba, etc) with a variety of inflections and volumes to clearly tell us what he means to say. It's very cute but we still have no idea what he actually means.
* Has 4 teeth and has many more working their way in.
* Will frequently reach over to Cameron to hold his hand when they are sitting together.
* Gets really upset if Cameron is upset. If Cameron starts crying, Connor usually will too. Cameron can also make Connor really happy by just smiling at him. It's so sweet.

Hi Erin,

Your boys are getting big and they look happy.

Be sure to send them up to Canada for Hockey camp when they are ready. I'll take good care of them LOL.

I hope all is well and hope to see your kids soon.

Cousin Chene.
