New journeys... new website

Now that our adoption journey to bring home Cameron & Connor has been completed, continuing to update our adoption journal no longer seemed to make sense. However, we still want to be able to share news of the boys with our family and friends, so I thought I'd go ahead and set up a blog. TAH DAH!

I will try to keep this updated with pictures and significant events at the O'Brien household. Hopefully, it works out considering I still have two little munchkins to run after!

Since getting home on Valentine's Day, we have made some major progress:

BOTH BOYS
* sleep through the night - 11 hours! Yeah!!!
* babble in Vietnamese - Cameron's favorite phrases are "abba abba" - he must be a big Abba fan like my dad! Connor's favorite phrases are "aya aya" and "agee agee." We have no idea what Vietnamese words those may mimick but it is definitely a different sound than other babies born to English speaking parents that I have been around. Jackie even thinks they cry in Vietnamese!
* are eating several different foods (the orphanage only fed them formula)

CAMERON
* has gained more than 3 lbs since 2/2/07 and now weighs 19 lbs, .5 oz
* crawls in classic form
* puts himself into a sitting position
* pulls himself to a stand on any and everything
* has 6 teeth
* gets scared by loud noises and just wants to hide in your neck when they happen (it's VERY cute and endearing)
* is a happy, friendly, bouncing baby boy

CONNOR
* has gained 2 lbs since 2/2/07 and now weighs 19 lbs, 7 oz
* does the military crawl
* LOVES to eat even without any teeth
* will pull himself to a stand only using a person (fingers, hands, legs, hair)
* likes to walk holding onto your fingers
* is really starting to warm to Mike although he is still my boy

All the lab results are in and both boys are completely healthy! For those who don't already know, we accepted their referral with the knowledge that Connor was diagnosed with mild anemia (Susp Thalassemia Minor). Turns out he doesn't have it! While we were in Vietnam, we learned that both boys had lab work which showed them with Hepatitis C antibodies. Turns out they don't have that either! Thank GOD!

Now let me see if I can post some pictures since we've been home...

These are from our homecoming on Valentine's Day (8 months old):

These are some bath time fun pictures taken 2/25/07:

Cameron and Connor are so cute! I think maybe we live in the same state? Or I could be confusing you with someone else...
